Chocolate Covered Strawberries by Vandana K.

I know everyone loves to eat chocolate covered strawberries. Trust me its very easy to make it at home.Try it today with my easy recipe.

plate of chocolate covered strawberries

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (6 oz.)  milk chocolate candy melts
  • 1 to 2 tsp. shortening
  • Fresh Strawberries

Directions

-Earlier in the day, wash strawberries and drain on paper towels. It's important that the strawberries be absolutely dry when dipping in chocolate. Just a droplet of water will ruin the batch.

-In a double boiler, melt candy melts and  add shortening, stirring constantly until smooth.

- Dip the strawberries in chocolate. Place on a wax paper lined dish and place in refrigerator until ready to serve.
-Repeat the process with the remaining strawberries

You can use same recipe for dipping Pretzels and any other fruits like apples,Pineapple.

Nails care - by muskaan

If you have ever thought that your nails were not important or if you've been neglecting your hands, now is the time to make them a priority. The most common complaints we have about our nails is that they are fragile, they've developed an infection or we've injured them.
Just to highlight some golden advice that You don't need to rely on a mani-pedi to keep your fingers and toes looking good. You can help reduce the risk of nail bed trauma with a little common sense: Don't use your fingernails as if they were tools.
If you follow some basic home tips, it will help keeping  all of your finger and toenails healthy all year long. Let's start with at-home remedies (and preventative tips) for fragile and easily broken nails.

1 Apply light moisturizer daily, and avoid harsh chemicals.Applying a moisturizer to your nails and cuticles will help lock water into the nail which is good for strong and healthy nails.

2 When working or cleaning, wear gloves to protect your skin and nails from damage -- use gloves for wet work and cotton for dry work.

3 Nail injuries can cause bruising, infection and may sometimes prevent nail growth.Keeping your nails short can help prevent nail injury.

4 To help prevent fungal infections from damaging your nails, keep all nails and cuticles clean and dry with a baking soda scrub. Don't bite your nails or pick at hangnails (which can open the door to a fungal or bacterial infection), and treat ingrown nails
with saltwater soaks to keep them clean and infection-free.

5 One easy way to keep nails healthy is to drink lots of water. By keeping your body hydrated every day.

6. Other natural ways to keep your nails healthy include drinking fresh carrot juice daily.

LAKME LIPSTICK IN N119- review by Sugandha.A

LAKME LIPSTICK IN N119

Next post
Hello Everyone !!!
Today I am going to talk about a perfect nude lipstick in Lakme N 119 NARENDRA KUMAR( he is a fashion designer in india).
In my childhood days I use to feel that their is only one brand of lipstick in this whole world and that is Lakme, because everyone around me use to wear only lakme lipsticks in those days. How funny was that? We were not allowed to wear lipstick as a children ,accept for school functions. So Lakme is an eternal and nostalgic brand for me and i am sure for many of you. Ok..so coming to this lipstick n119, i got this lipstick as a gift and at the first I just did not like this shade,it was kept in my drawer for almost a year untouched. Untill the whole nude shade fashion was inn.So this was the time to try on it, and it looked amazing on me,I top this lipstick with the lipgloss and now i used this one the most..So thought of sharing it with you all..Here are the pics and swatch of this lipstick..

Price- It was gifted so not sure of it.

My views-

Plus points-
1. Good pigmentation
2. Staying power is 2-3 hours
3. packaging is same, nothing new.

negative points-
1.It is not enough moisturising. It leaves the lips looking dry if you not apply lipgloss on top of it.

Homemade Hair Mask by Sugandha.A

Homemade Hair Mask

If your bad hair days last an entire weekend, your hair is not only screaming for attention but is also in large need of some tender loving care. Don't wait for the weekend to treat damaged hair. There are simple, effective ways (which are not time-consuming) to care for your hair through the week. They are also quite inexpensive and no, you don't have to go hunting for some exotic ingredients either. The solution to your bad hair day lies in your kitchen.

Hair masks are easy to make and apply. All you need is a little time and patience.

Egg mask
1. Beat two eggs alongwith their yolks with two tablespoons of water.
2. Massage the concoction into clean, damp hair.
3. Keep it on for ten to fifteen minutes and wash it off with a mild shampoo.

Going bananas
1. Mash one banana and mix it well with one beaten egg, three tablespoons honey, three tablespoons milk and five tablespoons olive oil.
2. Apply on hair and wash off with a gentle shampoo after 15 to 30 minutes depending on the extent of hair damage.

Yo yogurt!
1. Remove the yolk from an egg and beat the egg white till it is nice and frothy.
2. Add six tablespoons of yogurt to the potion.
Massage it into hair and wait 15 to 30 minutes for the magic to unveil.
3. Wash out with a mild shampoo.

Milk and honey mask
1. All you need to do is mix a tablespoon of honey with a cup of full fat milk.
2. Apply evenly on hair.
3. Wash off with a mild shampoo after 15 minutes.

Fenugreek mask
1. You need to keep fenugreek seeds overnight in a little water, enough to soak them not drown them.
2. Grind the seeds to a fine paste the next morning and apply it to your hair.
3. Wash it out with a mild shampoo after 15 to 20 minutes.

Olive and egg mask
1. Whisk five tablespoons of olive oil and two eggs to a foamy mixture.
2. Massage it in your hair.
3. Cover your head with a shower cap and leave it on for at least 30 minutes for the oil to penetrate into your hair.
4. Wash off with a gentle shampoo.

Banana and almond mask
1. Add a few drops of almond oil to one mashed ripe banana.
2. Mix it well and massage it thoroughly into hair.
3. Wash it off with a mild shampoo after 15 to 30 minutes.
